One of my colleague had sent me this mail. Just thought it’s worth posting it.
This Story is about a man who once upon a time was selling Hotdogs by the roadside.
He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers.
He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio.
His eyes were weak, so he never watched television.
But enthusiastically, he sold lots of hotdogs.
He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to increase his sales.
His sales and profit went up.
He ordered more a more raw material and buns and use to sale more.
He recruited few more supporting staff to serve more customers.
He started offering home deliveries. Eventually he got himself a bigger and better stove.
As his business was growing, the son, who had recently graduated from College, joined his father.
Then something strange happened.
The son asked, “Dad, aren´t you aware of the great recession that is coming our way?”
The father replied, “No, but tell me about it.” The son said, “The international situation is terrible.
The domestic situation is even worse. We should be prepared for the coming bad times.”
The man thought that since his son had been to college, read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV.
He ought to know and his advice should not be taken lightly.
So the next day onwards, the father cut down the his raw material order and buns, took down the colourful signboard, removed all the special schemes he was offering to the Customers and was no longer as enthusiastic.
He reduced his staff strength by giving layoffs.
Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his hotdog stand.
And his sales started coming down rapidly, same is the profit.
The father said to his son, “Son, you were right”.
“We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am glad you warned me ahead of time.”
MORAL OF THE STORY: It´s all in your MIND! And we actually FUEL this recession much more than it is.
Here’s a paradox: Even as India continues to kill off its girl children even before they are born, those that are born tend to live longer. This fact emerges from Census 2011, which shows that while the child sex ratio (number of girls per 1,000 boys in the 0-6 age group) is declining, the overall sex ratio (number of females per 1,000 males) is rising.
Till 1991, the overall sex ratio was lower than the child sex ratio. Now it’s the other way around. Reuters
While the child sex ratio has been falling continuously since 1961 from 976 to 914 in the latest census, the overall sex ratio started climbing again from 1991’s nadir of 927 to 940 in 2011.
What this suggests is that while the social preference for boys continues, girls that are born are probably hardier. Indian females are fitter than their male counterparts over the course of their lives. This is also observable from the fact that life expectancy for Indian females is at 66.9 years as compared with 63.9 years for males, according to Planning Commission estimates for 2001-06.
If we look at the overall sex ratios for each census, starting 1961 onwards, three of the five censuses have shown rising overall sex ratios. This trend has been particularly encouraging during the previous decades. In 2001, the sex ratio rose by six points to 933 from 927 during the previous census. It gained further in the latest census to 940, almost catching up with the ratio in 1961.
In comparison, the child sex ratio is a scandal. Between 1961 and now, the ratio has fallen by 62. This means there are 62 fewer girls for every 1,000 boys in the 0-6 age group. Till 1991, the overall sex ratio was lower than the child sex ratio. Now it’s the other way around.
If you’ve ever done your shopping or banking online, you may have noticed a small “lock” icon appear in your address bar, or that the address bar has turned green. This indicates that your browser is using a secure connection (“HTTPS”) to communicate with the website and ensure that the information you send remains private. Facebook currently uses HTTPS whenever your password is sent to us, but to secure everything you do on Facebook you need to change some setting.
While on FB, look at your URL address (the very top box on your screen.) If u see “http:” instead of “https:” then u DO NOT have a secure session & can be HACKED. Go to Account - Account Settings - Account Security - click Change. Check box (secure browsing), click Save. FB has automatically set it on the non-secure setting!

There are a few things you should keep in mind before deciding to enable HTTPS. Encrypted pages take longer to load, so you may notice that Facebook is slower using HTTPS. In addition, some Facebook features, including many third-party applications, are not currently supported in HTTPS.
We all have a bit idea about google’s auto suggest. We all experience it every day. It helps us to narrowing down to key words. Basically it helps us to find stuffs on google. As we know, the most used searching sentences comes as goggle autosuggest when we start typing in the search box. Which also means, that by looking at the autosuggest somebody actually can find out what are the trends or what people are looking for or what they search for or what is the general curiosity and questions, what are the things people want to know. Now google’s auto suggest is very much customized based on country. So the autosuggest drop down for a keyword is completely different for India and USA.
I have a system to work with in Chennai, India and a system at Texas, USA.
Let me give you a very funny example. “How to” is one of the most used and famous key word for google search. Now this is what happened when I typed this in my both the system one in Chennai and one at Texas.
After typing “how to” this is the autosuggest I got in Chennai
how to get pregnet
how to download youtube movies
how to impress girls
how to lose weight
After typing “how to” this is the autosuggest I got at Texas system
how to tie a tie
how to lose weight
how to kiss
how to train your dragon
Now it goes funnier or worse after this
When I type “how to get”. This is what I got in Chennai
how to get pregnet
how to get rid of pimples
how to get fair skin
how to get pregnent fast
how to get pregnet with a boy
When I type “how to get”. This is what I got at Texas system
how to get rid of fleas
how to get a girl to like you
how to get a passport
how to get rid of fruit flies
This is only an observation. But the only conclusion by me out of this is google rocks.
After some post on European and world soccer its time for some local. I know most of you will not connect to it but I had to write it. I am a soccer fan and my club is EastBengal FC http://www.eastbengalfootballclub.com . I used to follow this club very closely and in fact I used to attend most of the matches they played in the home ground. But it was long back. For last three years I am in chennai and I haven’t been in the stadium to watch a match sine then. Then all of a sudden why I am writing this!!!

Because I am very exited and happy as EastBengal won the recent kolkata derby thrashing MohonBagan 2 – 0. That’s not the only case. I was watching the match live and I felt very exited. When the new guy Robin scored both the goal. But with that I was feeling bad too as I was not in the stadium. Nothing can match the experience of watching a football match in a stadium that to if you are watching your team playing. All my childhood football heroes are from this club only. The football stadium where EastBengal used to play their home game was not very far from my home at kolkata thus it gave me the opportunity to actually watch lots of their matched when I was in school. We used to have a gang like kids of my age group. We used to go together to watch the match and yes my parents dint knew about this for long time. Normally parents doesn’t allow kids going to football stadium alone. They came to know about this when I was in college :) so that time no worry.. All my pocket money use to go buying tickets. Btw tickets were cheap.
I miss cheering , screaming for my club at the stadium.

Its like that same old story, when a player gets injury while playing for their national team club coaches shows their anger in full throttle in press conferences but when they themselves do the same then?? Before the world cup ferguson did the same, as a result a unfit rooney at world cup. Tuesday night was the night when fans wanted to see their favorite teams securing their spot for the knock outs. But Arsene Wengr did thethe same old mistake. Result more injury for fabregas. He changed 7 players from the team which played against tottenham but not fabregas. But the coach is not ready to take any blame for that. Arsenal 0 – Braga 2. Mourinho’s team did their job perfectly. Real Madrid 4 – Ajax 0. Though there were two redcard but they will not count it in knock out stage. So they can actually concentrate again for the upcoming EL Classico. I completely agree with ancelotti that Chelsea can’t win UEFA with this play but you never know. But they won 2-1. Bayern lost to Roma 3-2. It was good to see ronaldiniho scoring goales.
Today I came across a very interesting person at my office. He is a manager managing an entire account. (People in IT sector can understand this)
Here is the summarization of our conversation,
I think of my goals as a triangle, where each leg represents an important dimension. My goal is to balance the three legs. The first leg is dedicated to work and learning, another to health and hobbies, and the last to family and community. If I am successful, I will have balanced each of these legs, achieving all that I had planned in each dimension, without sacrificing in any of the others. It’s not to say that I’m perfectly centered on these three dimensions at all times - I wish life was that easy! Some weeks, I find that work pressures consume me and I’m left with little time for the other two. Other weeks, I explicitly try to take extra time to spend with my family or community. But I know that over time, I need to continually re-calibrate so that I am balancing these three equally. I have learned the hard way that you can’t neglect any one of these areas for too long without paying the price.
This is not always easy, but no matter how busy I am with day to day life, I continuously review my triangle to cut through all the clutter and to keep me focused on those things that are truly important to me.

When Marko van basten was the coach of Netherlands he told Van persi that make friendship with Van dar vart. It will reflect on your game when you guys will play together and national team will get benefited from that. Cruef, Platini, Zidane was at the stadium but Basten was not there or if he was there he was somewhere around among 84000 spectators. I guess he will be happy after watching the match as there is a friendship of and on the field in this duch team. Coaching book says if you are friends in life it will be reflected in your pass.

Few days back when Basten was asked who will be the superstar in this world cup he took less than a second to give the answer. No it is not Kaka, Messi or Ronaldo it is Sneijder. Monday jobarg saw the passing, tackle, snatching, leadership, box 2 box run from the midfielder form inter. Netherlands has two great footballer as their assistant coach Frank de boer and Philip cocu and it can be seen in their playing style too. This duch team has the famous flavor of the total football.

There are three things which are famous in Denmark blue Cheese, Denish dogs and Peter Schemichel. In recent time except Nicholas Brentner there is no great/good footballer from Denmark. They played the match depending on tem game and counter attack. But the team who played the total football was all over on Monday.
Netherlands (1) – Denmark (0)
